I work from a relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed framework, with attention to how early experiences, identity, relationships, and social context shape the ways we understand ourselves and others. My background in neuroscience informs this perspective, giving me an appreciation for how our brains are continually shaped by experience, relationships, stress, and our environments. I integrate evidence-based approaches including attachment theory, parts-based and somatic perspectives, and mindfulness-informed practices, with the belief that meaningful change comes through insight, emotional experience, and a safe, consistent therapeutic relationship.
I welcome clients of diverse identities and strive to bring curiosity, cultural humility, and respect to our work together. I received my graduate training at the Wright Institute in Berkeley and completed clinical training with the AHS Fairmont Psychiatric Outpatient Program. I earned my PhD in neuroscience from Georgetown University and completed postdoctoral training at UCSF. I currently teach and conduct neuroscience research at Santa Clara University. My clinical and academic experiences allow me to bring together psychological and biological perspectives while holding space for the complexity of each person's experience.
